Fabio De Luigi

Fabio De Luigi is an actor, comedian, screenwriter and director. A painting graduate, he made his comedy debut at a competition in 1990. He moves effortlessly between television and film, although it was TV that first recognised his talent on the show “Mai Dire Gol” (1999). He arrived in cinema in the late 1990s and over the years has become one of the best-known and best-loved faces of Italian comedy. He has worked with many directors, including Marco Ferreri, Alessandro D’Alatri, Alessandro Genovesi, Fausto Brizzi and Giovanni Veronesi. His biggest hits include Maschi contro femmine (and its sequel Femmine contro maschi), La peggior settimana della mia vita, 10 giorni senza mamma (Biglietto d’Oro 2018) and 10 giorni con Babbo Natale. He starred in two films directed by Gabriele Salvatores (Come Dio comanda, Happy Family) and was directed by Pupi Avati (Gli amici del bar Margherita).

In 2021 he starred in the Sky miniseries “Ridatemi mia moglie” and in Pif’s film “E noi come stronzi rimanemmo a guardare”. He was one of the six guests who joined Carlo Cracco in Dinner Club, the hit series produced by Amazon Prime Video. He directed, co-wrote and starred in the comedy Tre di troppo, with Virginia Raffaele as co-lead, one of the most-watched films of the season.

In January 2024 his third film as director, “50 km all’ora”, starring Stefano Accorsi, was released in cinemas. In November 2023 he starred in a one-man show on Prime Video, Amazing – Fabio De Luigi. In January he was back on screen alongside Valentina Lodovini in Alessandro Genovesi’s “10 giorni con i suoi”, which stayed at number one at the box office for three consecutive weeks.

In 2026 he directed, co-wrote and starred in the film “Un bel giorno”, released in cinemas in March.
After 25 years away from the theatre, Fabio De Luigi returns live with “BIOL – In Carne e Ossa Tour”, a long-awaited return to his roots that will see him on stage in theatres across Italy.
