LaTarma Entertainment oversaw the creative concept, artistic direction, and executive production of the Opening Ceremony for the 2026 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final, staged in Oslo on 23 May 2026.
Developed around the concept “Louder Than Ever,” the UWCLF Pre-Match Pulse presented by Pepsi was conceived as a high-energy spectacular designed to engage the entire stadium in a collective experience of participation, music, and emotional connection in the moments leading up to kick-off.
The four-minute show combined live music, dance, scenic design, and audience interaction in a performance led by Norwegian artist Myra, accompanied by DJ Thomas Gullestad. On the pitch, more than two hundred performers, including dancers and musicians, brought to life a choreography designed to transform spectators into active participants through an engaging call-and-response mechanism.
The ceremony’s visual identity drew inspiration from Nordic nature, and in particular from Norway’s characteristic “ice flowers.” At the centre of the pitch, a giant ice-flower-shaped banner later revealed a large vinyl record, symbolising the unifying power of music. The show’s visual universe was further enriched by striking scenic elements, including oversized vinyl records, boomboxes, and megaphones, evoking an aesthetic that was both contemporary and nostalgic.
LaTarma Entertainment was responsible for the scenic design, the creation of all stage elements, the development of the choreography, the artistic and operational coordination of the entire cast, and the supervision of the full creative and music production process.
The soundtrack was developed from a reinterpretation of “Misirlou,” produced by Adelphoi Music and specially adapted for the ceremony by Jonathan Watts and Skip Curtis, in collaboration with composer Greg West. The second part of the piece was an original composition by Giovanni Pallotti, multi-platinum composer and music director of the project.
The result was a visually and emotionally powerful spectacle that transformed the stadium into a single voice and a shared source of energy, celebrating the spirit of collective participation that defines one of the most important events in international women’s football.
