Fabio De Luigi is an actor, comedian, screenwriter and director.
With a degree in painting, he made his debut as a comedian in a competition in 1990. He moved effortlessly from television to cinema, although it was television that recognised his talent in the programme “Mai Dire Gol” (1999). He made his cinema debut in the late 1990s, becoming one of the best-known and most beloved faces of Italian comedy over the years.
He has collaborated with many directors, including Marco Ferreri, Alessandro D’Alatri, Alessandro Genovesi, Fausto Brizzi and Giovanni Veronesi. Among his most important successes are titles such as “Maschi contro femmine” (and its sequel “Femmine contro maschi”), “La peggior settimana della mia vita”, “10 giorni senza mamma” (2018 Golden Ticket Award), and “10 giorni con Babbo Natale”. He starred in two films directed by Gabriele Salvatores (“Dio Comanda” and “Happy Family”) and was directed by Pupi Avati (“Gli amici del bar Margherita”).
In 2021, he starred in the Sky miniseries “Ridatemi mia moglie” and the film directed by Pif, “E noi come stronzi rimanemmo a guardare”.
He is one of six personalities who joined Carlo Cracco in “Dinner Club”, a highly successful series produced by Amazon Prime Video.
He is the director, screenwriter and star of the comedy “Tre di troppo”, co-starring Virginia Raffaele, one of the most watched films in 2023. In January 2024, his third film as director, “50 km all’ora”, starring Stefano Accorsi, was released in cinemas. In November 2023, he starred in a one-man show on Prime Video, Amazing – Fabio De Luigi.
In January 2025, he starred again alongside Valentina Lodovini in Alessandro Genovesi’s “10 giorni con i suoi”, which remained at the top of the box office for three consecutive weeks.
A new film and comedy directed and starred by Fabio himself, “Un bel giorno”, has been announced for 2026 with Virginia Raffaele and Maria Gifuni.
