Lea Gavino is an Italian actress and singer-songwriter, born in Rome on January 14, 1999. From an early age, she cultivated a deep passion for the arts: she approached music by studying piano and discovered her love for cinema thanks to her father, with whom she shared the weekly ritual of “Friday movie night” — evenings spent watching great films together, fueling her curiosity and her desire to tell stories.
After high school, she enrolled in the Faculty of Psychology, and during her university studies, she was called in for an audition that marked the beginning of her acting career. In 2018, she began her training at the Jenny Tamburini Acting School and later graduated in 2022 from the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinematic Art.
She made her debut in 2019 in Io ricordo Piazza Fontana, directed by Francesco Miccichè, and that same year appeared in the TV series Oltre la soglia, broadcast on Canale 5. In 2022, she portrayed Artemisia Gentileschi — a symbolic figure of twentieth-century feminism — in Michele Placido’s film L’Ombra di Caravaggio, alongside internationally acclaimed actor Louis Garrel. The film won three Silver Ribbons (Nastri d’Argento) and two David di Donatello awards.
Also in 2022, she became the protagonist of the fifth season of Skam Italia. Her performance earned her the Next Generation Award as “Breakthrough Actress,” presented by Man in Town during the 80th Venice International Film Festival.
In 2023, she appeared in Una storia nera, directed by Leonardo D’Agostini, and took part in the second season of the international series SAS: Rogue Heroes, directed by Stephen Woolfenden. In 2024, she joined the cast of the Rai series I casi dell’avvocato Guerrieri, alongside Alessandro Gassmann, and appeared in Dieci Minuti, directed by Maria Sole Tognazzi.
The year 2025 marks her musical debut. “Mondo Fiorito” and “Figli” were released on October 10, launching her first recording project. For Lea, music is an authentic means of expression — a space of creative freedom where she can tell her story without filters.
